VYNEHILL DAHLIA - SHIPPING POLICIES
SHIPPING SEASON
We do our best to ship during weather windows that protect your tubers, but cannot guarantee against all weather-related issues during transit. Most tubers will ship in spring unless there's a fall-noted sale.
SHIPPING SCHEDULE
Orders ship Mondays and Tuesdays only via USPS Priority Mail. Orders purchased on those days may not ship until the following week depending upon schedules and order volume.
BUYER RESPONSIBILITY
You are responsible for:
• Tracking your shipment and arranging to receive it promptly
• Ensuring someone can receive the package or that it's not left in extreme temperatures
• Any damage resulting from packages left in mailboxes or on porches for extended periods
• Using common sense when ordering for your region's climate
If you live in an area with extreme cold (below 20°F) or extreme heat (above 90°F), you assume all risk when ordering during those seasons. We cannot control weather during transit or delivery.
SHIPPING COSTS
Calculated at checkout based on your location. Priority Mail typically delivers in 2-3 business days.
PACKAGING
Tubers are wrapped and packaged to arrive safely under normal shipping conditions. We take care in packaging, but cannot guarantee against carrier mishandling or extreme weather events.
DELIVERY ISSUES
USPS is responsible for delivery. If your package shows delivered but you haven't received it, contact your local post office immediately. We are not responsible for packages marked as delivered by USPS.
DAMAGED OR LOST PACKAGES
If your package arrives visibly damaged, refuse delivery or photograph damage immediately before opening. Contact us within 24 hours of delivery with photos.
For packages lost in transit (not marked delivered), contact us and we'll work with USPS to file a claim.
RETURNS & REFUNDS
No refunds for:
• Buyer's remorse
• Tubers left in mailbox/porch for extended periods
• Damage from extreme temperatures in buyer's area
• Late planting by buyer
• Growing challenges (these are living plants - results vary)
• Tubers started indoors for cuttings
We will replace or refund:
• Tubers that arrive broken (all tubers have been double checked for eyes, but if you have a concern, please send pictures and ask)
• Incorrect varieties shipped
• Missing items from your order
We take the utmost care in culling any plants that aren't up to our standards and we sanitize our tools. While we take the best care we can, dahlias are natural things subject to conditions outside including bugs, and we do not accept returns for virus or bacterial issues with plants.
Claims must be made within 48 hours of delivery with photos.
WEATHER DELAYS
During extreme weather events, we may delay shipping for tuber safety. You'll be notified if this affects your order.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
Not available at this time.
